"To me photography means getting fully involved in a situation and capturing that moment in a sensuous way. Of course this requires empathy on my part and the ability to perceive of what is actually there. When it comes to portrait shots, I like getting in touch with the person by having a short conversation to get a feeling for him or her. It is a blessing if something develops between the person I take a photo of and myself. If they recognise themselves on the photos and like what they see, I am satisfied with my work."

Ever since his childhood days, Markus Mosman has been keen on photography. Having grown up near Lake Constance in the border region of Switzerland, Germany, Liechtenstein and Austria, he loves the interplay of water, clouds and light. He enjoys trying to capture the moment whenever the elements are in harmony. While Architecture is his personal passion, artistic photography in the fields of gardening, landscape architecture and interior design as well as photos in the field of the performing arts are also part of his portfolio. His interest in people and their motivations is what makes Markus Mosman a sensitive portraitist. He also attentively accompanies weddings, festivities as well as cultural events to capture them on camera.

Being an avowed cosmopolitan, Markus Mosman loves travelling to places which open up new and inspiring perspectives. Discovering places in their tranquility before a new day dawns, is what fascinates the photographer.
